So I am the type of person that starts my taxes even before I get my W2. I also have my own business. So I start early gathering my totals that I can count for my taxes. I have never had to pay any taxes, but I would like to assume that I would do the same so that I would know early enough how much I owed so that I would not need to stress about it. Many people put off doing taxes cause they know they are going to need to pay the IRS money. A good way to fix this is to have them take out more federal from your taxes early on. Then it will only hurt a little or maybe even get a refund at the end of the year. Also if you file early and know how much is due then you can figure out how to pay it with minimal impact on daily life. Maybe even without an extension. I normally try to put some of the refund back into the business one way or another and also try to get something I have wanted, but just couldn't cause more important things have come up. So how are you about your taxes? Do you file right away or do you delay? Why? Do you use your taxes to get ahead for the new year or do something fun?
